This page explains when and how you can cancel your FinzBooks subscription and receive a refund.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription inside the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access until then, and we don't bill you for the next period.
There's no "cancellation fee" or notice period. You don't need to contact support to cancel.
Refunds
7-day money-back guarantee (first paid period only)
If FinzBooks doesn't work for you, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription — no questions asked. Email gigi@finzbooks.com from the address on your account; we'll refund the full amount through the original payment method (typically 5–7 business days for the bank to credit it back).
This applies once per business — you can't churn-and-rejoin to refund repeatedly.
Monthly subscriptions after day 7
We don't refund unused days on a monthly subscription after the 7-day window. The subscription stays active for the rest of the paid month and then ends.
Annual subscriptions
If you cancel an annual subscription after the 7-day window, we refund the pro-rated unused portion minus a 10% administrative fee. For example, if you paid ₹12,000 for the year and cancel after 4 months, you'd get back ₹7,200 (8 months unused) minus ₹720 (10% admin) = ₹6,480.
Failed deliveries / service issues
If the Service is materially unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault (excluding scheduled maintenance and force-majeure events), we'll credit you a pro-rated refund for the affected days on request.
Non-refundable
- Add-ons consumed during the period (AI document credits already used, e-invoice/e-way bill API calls already made)
- Custom services, migration help, or training delivered before cancellation
- Charges from third parties (your bank, payment provider, ISP)
How to request a refund
Email gigi@finzbooks.com with:
- The email address on your FinzBooks account
- The plan you were on (monthly/annual)
- A short reason (helps us improve — not required to qualify)
We acknowledge within 1 business day and process eligible refunds within 5 business days through Razorpay back to the original payment method. Bank credit time depends on your bank (usually another 2–7 business days).
Disputes
If a charge is disputed at the bank/card-network level (chargeback) without first contacting us, we may suspend your account pending resolution. We'd much rather you email us — most issues resolve same-day.
